Facility Calendar

There is a facility calendar located here. Please contact the Operations Manager so they can add all audition dates, rehearsals, set builds, and performances for your show into this calendar so we can avoid overlapping usage of our limited space.

Exterior of Building

  • The exterior lights automatically turn on at sundown. If these lights are not functioning at night, please notify the Facilities Manager.
  • The parking lot is shared by the other businesses in our strip. The only parking dedicated to Stage Coach Theatre is on either side of the sidewalk extending from the building. If you notice a vehicle parked in these spots for an extended period, please notify the Executive Committee

Main Entrance

  • The main entrance is located on the Emerald Street side of the building. The door is equipped with a crash-bar on the inside. Keys are not issued for this door.
    • To unlock the main entrance for show nights or rehearsals:
      • From inside the building;
      • Insert the allen wrench (stored on the nearby windowsill) in the small hole on the crash bar and rotate
      • push and hold the crash bar towards the door (as if you were going to exit the building)
      • Rotate the allen wrench back to the original position
      • The crash bar should remain in position when released, allowing the door to open from the outside.
    • If you are the last to leave the building, reverse the steps above to lock the main entrance. This door is to remain locked whenever the building is unoccupied.
  • There is a light switch on the wall next to the bar on the right as you enter the front door. This switch controls the entryway lights and hallway lights
  • The thermostat below the light switches is on a schedule and should not be changed. If there is an issue with the temperature or HVAC unit, contact the Facilities Manager.

Side entrance

  • The entrance on the east side of the building is considered the service or stage door entrance. If you are the first person to enter the building for the day, this is the entrance you will use to access the building, then you can open the main entrance if you are expecting others to arrive, such as before a rehearsal or show night. This door is controlled by a key pad. Directors can be issued a key code by contacting the Facilities Manager up to two weeks prior to your auditions. These key codes are unique for each person, and should not be shared with others.
  • When using the side entrance, be sure the door is securely closed behind you.
  • Once inside the hallway, the door to the theater is on the right-hand side past the storage shelves. The other two doors in this room lead to storage areas.
  • Inside the lobby door, there are two doors to the immediate left and right. One is the Prop storage room, which is typically locked, the other is the small kitchen area with a dishwasher and refrigerator. This refrigerator is acceptable for cast/crew use, however there is a small refrigerator in the dressing room that may be more convenient.
  • The lights in this area are motion-activated.

Lobby

Bar

  • The lights behind the bar are controlled via a switch on the corner of the bar entrance. This is a round dimmer switch. To turn on, press the switch and slide the toggle to turn the brightness up.
  • There is another switch under the bar to turn on the lighting behind the glass tiles

Main Lobby Area

  • In between shows, the lobby is typically used as a rehearsal space when the stage is unavailable. It has a similar footprint to our stage when furniture is moved. You may move any furniture to provide space for rehearsals, but please leave things as you found them when you are finished for the day.
  • There are three light switches that control the main lobby lights. These are located about six feet from the ground on the wall shared by the bathrooms, near the backstage entrance.

Bathrooms

  • To locate the Men’s bathroom light switch, open the door all the way, and you will find it on the inside wall about six feet up the wall
  • The Handicap accessible bathroom’s light is located outside the bathroom, on the wall opposite the bathroom door.

Tech Booth

  • The Tech Booth entrance is via a pocket-door located on the house-right side of the lobby, just before the House door.
  • The light switch for the Tech Booth is located on the right side when you enter.
  • There are UV lights for the Tech Booth for sterilization purposes. These are operated by a timer inside the booth door to the left. Rotate the time at least a half-turn to activate after each show. Extended exposure to these lights can cause harm to your eyes, so make sure no one is in the booth or house when turning these on.

House

  • The house lights are on the wall of the tech booth between the booth windows.
  • There are UV lights for the House for sterilization purposes. These are operated by a timer inside the Tech booth door to the left. Rotate the time at least a half-turn to activate after each show. Extended exposure to these lights can cause harm to your eyes, so make sure no one is in the booth or house when turning these on.
  • The thermostat is set on a schedule, please refrain from adjusting the temperature. If the temperature is uncomfortable, please contact the Facility Manager.

Stage

Technical details of the stage are covered in other sections of the packet

Scene Shop

The scene shop is used to store paint, building supplies, and tools for set build. There isn’t typically enough space to build here, so construction often occurs on the side of the building or on stage. If there is something construction related that you cannot find, reach out to the Stage Supervisor.

Wood room

Located behind the stage left wing, this room is used to store some of the raw materials needed for set build. This room is also often used for quick changes during show runs.

Green Room/Dressing Room

  • The Green Room/Dressing room has seating, table space, and mirrors for a cast of 10-12. However, casts in excess of 25 people have made the space work. Recent improvements have added permanent costume racks and cubbies that can be rotated either horizontally (and be used as benches for additional seating) or vertically.
  • There is a first aid kit and refrigerator for cast and crew use.
  • There are UV lights in the Green Room for sterilization purposes. These are operated by a timer inside the green room wall. Rotate the time at least a half-turn to activate after each show. Extended exposure to these lights can cause harm to your eyes, so make sure no one is in the Green Room when turning these on, and don’t linger.

Change Room

Located behind the stage right wing, the Change Room has two stalls to allow for cast to privately change clothing. The rear entrance to the building is also located in this room. This is a brand-new door that can only be opened from the inside.

Cast Bathroom

There is a new cast bathroom located in the scene shop. The toilet is just off of the hallway leading to the lobby – it has a pocket door that can be locked from the inside. The paint sink in the scene shop is available for hand-washing.
