Marketing Plan

SCT utilizes Facebook and Email blasts to promote the show.  It’s in your best interest to be in contact with the Content Marketer frequently about your vision/expectations for marketing your show.  Providing pictures of your cast during rehearsals, bios of your cast, small clips of rehearsal to the Content Marketer is beneficial in promoting your show.  If there are certain calendars that you’d like your show to be promoted on, let the Content Marketer know that as well.

Audition Marketing

Your auditions and performances will be sent out as a Facebook event and you as the Director are invited so you can invite all your friends. Please do not create your own event.  We are trying to keep it centralized to the SCT presence. If you have any specific audition requirements or information you’d like to be specified in the marketing materials, please let the Content Marketer know. Content Marketer will send a “teaser” post a month prior to your auditions. Before that if you have a graphic of the show or pertinent audition information, please forward that to the MD, so that appropriate messaging occurs.

Pre-Show Marketing

After you have cast your show and started rehearsal, contact our Content Marketer to set up a promo shot photo shoot. This is used to send to the media outlets and does not require that the actors be in the actual costumes they will use for the production, nor does it require the actual set.  The photos need to be distributed to the media about a month before you open.  This will typically take no longer than 30 minutes. Otherwise Stay in contact with the Content Marketer and provide them with anything you’d like to see advertised for your show, such as progress shots of set construction, sneak peeks at costumes, rehearsal shenanigans, weird props, etc. Pictures, videos, memes with captions that will capture the patrons’ interest and build excitement for your show.

During Run Marketing

The Content Marketer will be popping in and out before curtain time in order to collect photos and small videos to be used as marketing materials for your show. If you’d like to do a backstage FB Live Feed, contact the Content Marketer to have that done at a time of your discretion.  Again, you know your show best so anything you can provide in way of photos, videos will be helpful.

If at any time you notice anything in our marketing that needs to be edited, please reach out to the Content Marketer so corrections can be made.
