Opening October 7th:

A groovy Halloween show

Book and lyrics by George Reinblatt.
Music by Frank Cipolla, Christopher Bond, Melissa Morris, and George Reinblatt.

Directed by Victoria Horn.

Runs for four weeks: October 7-8; 13-15; 19-22; 26-29. Please note that there are no matinees for this show.

Rating: Evil Dead the Musical contains frequent adult language, sexual content, and graphic violence.

Synopsis: This comedy takes all the elements of the films Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness and combines them into one of the craziest theatrical experiences of all time. Five college students go to an abandoned cabin in the woods and accidentally unleash an evil force that turns them all into demons. It’s all up to Ash (a housewares employee turned demon-killing hero and his trust chainsaw to save the day. A combination of blood, jokes, cheesy effect and killer musical numbers, Evil Dead The Musical is unlike any show you’ve ever seen.

Doors open 1 hour prior to the show starting. The bar is open before all performances and at intermissions in our lobby.

CASEY – 20-30’s Funky NY artist – Mezzo/Soprano with a belt

MAN #1 –  (Gabe / YouTube / Edgy British Guy / Gilberto) – Baritone

MAN #2 (Reggie / Aaron’s Future Son / Instagram / Edgy Rocker Guy) – Tenor

MAN #3 (Waiter / Casey’s Father / Twitter / Blaze / Friendly Therapist) – Baritone

WOMAN #1 (Lauren / Grandma Ida / Facebook / Aaron’s Mother) – Mezzo/Soprano

WOMAN #2 (Allison / Google Girl / Female with Megaphone #1 / Reggie’s mom) – Mezzo/Soprano

Audition Details:

Please prepare 1 minute of a song to showcase your voice.  You do not need to sing a song from the show but if you are auditioning for Casey or Aaron one of the songs from the show is PREFERABLE.  Please bring a backing track on your phone and we will have a Bluetooth Speaker to plug into.  No pianist is provided.

No audition monologues are required.  If there is a dance audition, then it won’t be a huge deal as this is not a typical “dance-y” musical.  We will read sides from script so be familiar with any character you may be interested in.

Rehearsals WILL begin on November 7th, so please take that into consideration when auditioning.  Be prepared to list any conflicts for rehearsal dates.  No conflicts for shows are accepted.

Stage Coach Theatre is now a registered non-profit with Benevity!

Benevity is the donation organization that is connected with large corporations like Hewlett Packard, Coca Cola, Microsoft, etc. When employees of companies that are connected with Benevity make donations to Stage Coach Theatre, those companies have “matching funds programs” that help the theater twice.  For example, if you work for H-P and you want to help the theater with our roof fund raising campaign, make a donation to us through your employer and they will match your donation!
