Inspired by the original 1936 film of the same name, this raucous musical comedy takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music, sex, and violence. You won’t be able to resist the spoofy fun of Reefer Madness. The addictive, clever musical numbers range from big Broadway-style showstoppers to swing tunes like “Down at the Ol’ Five and Dime” and the Vegas-style “Listen to Jesus, Jimmy,” featuring J.C. Himself leading a chorus of showgirl angels. Reefer Madness is a highly stylized and satirical political commentary that will leave you wanting more.
Show Dates: October 6-7, 12-15, 19-22, 26-28. Matinees on October 15 and 22
Duration: 2 hours plus a 15-minute intermission
Rating: Ages 16+ for frequent adult language and content including suggestive sexual content, drug usage and violence. Not recommended for younger audiences. Please note this show utilizes smoke and fog effects.
Showtimes: 8:00pm Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30pm Thursdays, and 2:00pm matinees (see above for matinee dates)
Online ticket sales close 1 hour before each performance. Tickets may be available to purchase at the box office at this time.
Doors open 1 hour prior to the show starting. The bar is open before all performances and at intermissions in our lobby.
