Props/Costumes

Our Prop Master is ready and willing to assist with building or sourcing props for your show. That said, you are more than welcome to have your own Prop Master serve on your show. They will need to coordinate pulling props from SCT inventory as access to the prop room is restricted. If you need additional Prop assistance, you may contact the Operations Manager for a list of potential volunteers interested in props.

Prop/Furniture Requests

  • An electronic prop and furniture inventory is available here. Please make a note of any props needed and send a list to the Prop Master no later than three weeks prior to show open and they will pull the requested items from storage. It is recommended that you review this inventory six months prior to open so you can put together a list of props that need to be sourced or built.
  • Six months prior to show open, send a list of props that need to be sourced or built to the Prop Master.
    • Purchased or rented props or materials used to build props that will not be retained by SCT after your show will be charged to your show budget. For the purposes of budgeting, coordinate with the Prop Master to determine which props will be retained by SCT.

Renting Props/Furniture

  • Common rental locations for props
    • Boise Little Theater – please coordinate with the SCT Prop Master for assistance with renting props from BLT

Returning Props/Furniture

It is your responsibility as Director to ensure props are properly returned to the Prop Master. You are encouraged to invite the Prop Master to strike to assist with prop returns. If that is not an option, please coordinate with the Prop Master.

Costume Inventory

SCT is slowly building a costume inventory, to peruse and check out items, please contact the Wardrobe Manager. The Wardrobe Manager does not necessarily design/facilitate costumes for shows, but they can assist with finding a resource. You may also contact the Operations Manager for a list of potential volunteers interested in costuming.
